Application packets are also available for pickup in the school office, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Application Procedures

  • Applicants for Kindergarten must be five by December 1, 2010.
  • Applications are due by Friday, January 29, 2010. Testing for Kindergarten will begin shortly thereafter. Testing for other grades will be in March. You will be notified of testing dates and times. If applications are received after the deadline, testing will be scheduled as spaces arise.
  • Please attach a copy of your child's birth and baptismal certificates, and most recent report card and standardized test scores (if applicable) to the application.
  • There is a $20.00 non-refundable testing fee due at the time of testing.
  • Please be advised that an application does not guarantee acceptance. After a review of the application, past report cards or pre-school information, and test results, a decision will be made as to acceptance into St. Veronica Catholic School. As with any school in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, our policy is the following:   The Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of San Francisco, mindful of their mission to be witness to the love of Christ for all, admit students of any race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at St. Veronica Catholic School. The Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of San Francisco do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, and national and/or ethnic origin, age, sex, or disability in the administration of their educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, athletic and other school-administered programs.

    Yet, we hold highly to the belief that St. Veronica Catholic School is a PARISH SCHOOL. Therefore, acceptance decisions are made with the following criteria in mind:
    • Siblings (applicants who are brothers or sisters of current or former St. Veronica Catholic School students)
    • Legacies (applicants who are children of alumni)
    • Catholic: Registered in parish
    • Catholic: Registered in other parishes
    • Not registered in any parish
    • Non-Catholic

  • Upon acceptance and registration, parents will be asked to provide a copy of the child's social security card and immunization information.

Parental Obligations

Please be advised that upon acceptance to St. Veronica Catholic School, parents will be held to the following obligations:

  • All families are required to sign and abide by a Tuition contract. St. Veronica Catholic School utilizes SMART Tuition Plan for the collection of tuition. Tuition is mailed to their billing department. St. Veronica Catholic School collects no tuition payment.
  • Families commit to generate a minimum of $300 in revenue from SCRIP purchases.
  • All families pay fees for Extended Care, School Guild, and Men's Club.
  • Families agree to abide fully to the policies as stated in the Parent-Student Handbook.

School Information

  • Class size is 36 students. Aides are present in the classroom on a full-time or part-time basis.
  • School hours for the present academic year are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Fridays are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Kindergarten follows a different schedule. Early Birds attend from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Late Birds attend from 9:05 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
  • Extended Care is available before school beginning at 6:45 a.m. and after school until 5:45 p.m. Extended Care is available for kindergartners in the morning until 9:05 if the child is a Late Bird, and beginning at 12:00 if a child is an Early Bird. All students are enrolled in the Extended Care program and pay the $30 registration fee. Extended care rates are currently $4.00 per hour, or families may pay on a monthly payment plan. Rates for the monthly plan can range from $175 - $495 depending on the number of children and the number of hous the family enrolls for Extended Care.
  • Hot Lunch is currently served to grades 1-8 five days a week. Parents order and prepay on a monthly basis.
  • St. Veronica Catholic School has a traditionally strong academic program enriched by music, physical education, Spanish, and computers. Extracurricular activities include altar serving, choir, sports, honor guard, band, yearbook, newspaper/literary magazine, and Student Council.
